Every release, without marketing fog.

Fixed

• Changing Blatero’s app language now updates the macOS menu bar immediately, without restarting the app.
• Menu actions, live status messages, the Handoff menu, and the Settings window title now follow the selected app language.

New

• Blatero’s interface language picker now includes Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Polish, matching the website and supported speech languages.
• The onboarding flow, core language controls, and live menu states are localized in all eight languages.

Improved

• App language and spoken language remain independent, so an English Mac can keep the Blatero interface in English while Isla listens for Dutch speech.
• The website’s Isla demo, waveform, polish sweep, ambient background, Command Mode visual, and section reveals now remain animated across browser motion settings.

New

• App language and spoken language can now be selected independently.
• The app follows the macOS language by default, with complete Dutch and English setup language support.
• Speech recognition can remain automatic or prioritize Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Polish, regardless of the macOS language.
• The website’s Isla demonstration now cycles through ten localized examples in every supported website language.

Improved

• The selected speech language now reaches live dictation, file transcription, and meeting transcription.
• The onboarding and essential General settings copy are localized for English Macs.
• The website demonstration uses a CSS-only motion sequence and provides a complete static result when Reduce Motion is enabled.

Blatero 1.0.2 makes spoken Mac commands natural, self-finishing and fully visible.

New

• Say requests such as “I want you to open Safari on nu.nl”; Blatero now recognizes validated web addresses and opens them in the named browser.
• Command Mode automatically detects the end of an utterance after about one second of silence. One hotkey press is enough.
• Isla shows whether the microphone hears you, the live recognized words, the exact bounded action, and the final result.

Improved

• Command failures now keep the complete reason and the recognized transcript visible instead of truncating the useful part.
• An eight-second no-speech timeout explains when no usable command reached the microphone.
• Browser launches use a more reliable macOS application lookup, including system-provided Safari installations.

Blatero 1.0.1 makes the first-run experience clearer while keeping experienced users in control.

New

• After setup, choose a one-minute feature tour or start dictating immediately.
• The tour introduces Dictation, Rewrite, Command Mode and Meeting Mode with concrete examples and shortcuts.
• Existing 1.0 users are offered the new tour once without repeating permission setup.
• The introduction remains available from the B menu whenever you want to revisit it.

Improved

• The onboarding window now gives privacy explanations and permission controls enough room on compact displays.
• Changelogs and Sparkle release notes now use English consistently across every website language.

Blatero 1.0 brings local speech-to-text to every text field on your Mac.

New

• Hold Right Option to dictate from any app.
• Isla shows whether Blatero can hear you and displays the live partial transcript.
• Self-corrections, repetitions and filler words are cleaned up across eight European languages.
• Spoken paragraphs, lines, lists, punctuation and emoji are formatted immediately.
• Rewrite replaces selected text using your spoken instruction.
• Command Mode opens apps, runs pre-approved Shortcuts and uses bounded system actions.
• Meeting Mode captures microphone and Mac audio separately, distinguishes speakers locally and deletes temporary audio after processing.
• Profiles adapt output for prose, chat, prompts, code and notes.

Privacy and reliability

Audio processing stays entirely on your Mac by default. Cloud enhancement and telemetry remain off until you enable them. This download is Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple and carries a stapled Gatekeeper ticket.
