Getting started
Install Blatero, grant only necessary access and try your first dictation.
Install
Download the Developer ID build, open the DMG and drag Blatero to Applications. The full build comes from blatero.app because inserting into other apps is incompatible with the Mac App Store sandbox.
A warm introduction
Blatero asks for microphone, keyboard detection and Accessibility, asks whether it may start at login, then opens a real voice test. The live meter turns green and says ‘Yes, I can hear you’ when useful microphone audio arrives.
Tour or start immediately
You then choose a short tour of Dictation, Rewrite, Command Mode and Meetings, or start right away. The introduction remains available from the B menu.
First dictation
Hold Right Option briefly, speak and release. A normal Option tap passes through. Isla shows the real level and live transcript.
